SGO’s Mistika Stereoscopic 3D Cinematic Experience in Madrid was a great success attracting over 400 attendees
SGO marked its 14th anniversary celebrating Mistika’s stereoscopic 3D capability making it Spain’s first major stereoscopic 3D event, organised by Molinare, Cameraman and SGO.
SGO is thrilled to announce that its momentous stereoscopic 3D demonstration in Spain, working in partnership with one of its top clients, Molinare and specialist publication Cameraman was highly successful. Attracting an audience of over four hundred people, it was confirmed that stereoscopic 3D has evolved and gained significant momentum as a current predominant force in the industry with exciting future projects lining up.
The event’s agenda kicked off with two sessions, which were introduced by Pablo del Río, Director of Cameraman Magazine and a briefing by SGO’s CEO Miguel Angel Doncel concerning 3D stereoscopic technology and what it entailed; this was then followed by a striking presentation of Swan Lake’s 3D stereoscopic footage, courtesy of Brighton TV. Mediapro’s I+D Department member, Jordi Alonso, also spoke at the conference highlighting the challenges of stereoscopic 3D film production from first hand experience. Ferran Piquer, Molinare's Cinema Department Manager, then discussed the stages of stereoscopic 3D post production projects and solutions.
„Seeing is believing“ was definitely the case with the next guest speaker, who was Vision 3’s Agnus Cameron, stereo production supervisor and co-owner, presenting eye-catching stereoscopic 3D footage that simply astounded the audience. 3D Wire, Next Limit and audiovisual engineering company, Ingevideo, also partnered with SGO.
After two hours of compelling stereoscopic 3D footage and all the latest technical information, guests gathered in the Kinepolis VIP cocktail lounge before attending the fabulous Madrid-based party hosted by SGO. Guests included key industry professionals, Spanish trade press and digital art lovers. Customers and Mistika fans were in for a further treat and were even able to appreciate enlarged 3D images within an informal and relaxing environment at the club all night long.
From the success of the event, SGO plans to organise similar events of this nature in the future to raise further awareness of Mistika’s stereoscopic 3D functionality and power.
