Already a veteran in the industry, Geoff Mills joined SGO in 2009 as Director of Sales, and was very quickly promoted to head the company’s global sales and operations as Group Director, where he spearheaded the overall international sales strategy. In his new role as Managing Director, he will continue to focus on driving strong customer relationships and further accelerate revenue performance for SGO.

Award-winning software developer SGO and industry-leading video hardware developer AJA Video Systems today announce their dynamic integration partnership. SGO’s flagship colour grading and finishing post-production system Mistika is now fully compatible with AJA’s line of KONA and Corvid video capture and playback cards, resulting in optimised video output. The alliance provides customers with high-quality delivery outcomes and finely tuned feature-sets to further enhance workflows. The combination of the new Mistika version with the AJA hardware boosts support for new extreme video formats including 4K Stereo 3D dual-link, even at HFR frame-rates up to 60p.

SGO spearheads innovation for those who aspire to be the best, and is delighted to partner with Canon at BVE this year, to display the latest pioneering advancements in HDR technology. Mistika will drive a dynamic end-to-end HDR-4K “Glass-to-Glass” colour-process workflow demonstration on Canon’s stand L30 in the HDR zone.
Tech industry veteran Jose Luis Montero has been appointed as Regional Sales Manager for SGO’s Latin American sector, where he will play an influential role in promoting Mistika. An accomplished sales manager with over 18-years experience of developing complex I.T. projects, along with his vast background in electronic engineering and extensive knowledge of the European and Latin American market, makes him the perfect fit for SGO. He is also an impressive linguist, with proficiency in fluent Spanish, English and Portuguese.
In addition, Tanya Walker has been hired as SGO’s new Marketing Manager. She is a savvy marketeer with broad experience working with market leaders and big-brand innovators including Virgin Media, Vue Entertainment, Clarks and BMW. Tanya has recently relocated from London where she worked as an account director for a global marketing agency to Madrid, where SGO’s Head Office is based. Well-versed in all aspects of marketing, she is equipped to readily address the challenges of the post production arena.
