Industry-adopted stitching software Mistika VR gets a quality boost with newly added official Apple ProRes and EXR DWA support
SGO announced a new release of the industry-adopted optical flow stitching software Mistika VR, including new format support, additional camera presets and performance enhancements. A highlight of the latest version is official Apple ProRes support, enabling Mistika VR users to work with and create ProRes media significantly faster than before and at the highest quality available.
“This update has considerably improved my on-site workflow, as I frequently have to make a rough stitch already on-set. I no longer have to carry a heavy desktop computer, as I am able to stitch the footage extremely fast on my Mac Book Pro,” shared Hugh Hou from CreatorUp. An overview of a rough-to-fine stitch workflow using the latest Mistika VR version with a MacBook Pro is explained in detail in this VIDEO.
EXR DWA support was also added to Mistika VR, enhancing and facilitating professional VR/360º pipelines by enabling much faster and higher quality renders.
Additionally, Insta 360 Titan Pro.prj calibration libraries have been integrated, providing Insta360 Titan users with more flexibility and greater control in their post-production workflows.
This release is available to all existing Mistika VR customers at no extra cost. Mistika VR users can already download the latest version from their Online SGO Account.
