Booth 8B 09, 21– 24 August 2013 – The China International Exhibition Centre (CIEC), Beijing

SGO presents its flagship product Mistika at China’s major broadcasting industry trade show, BIRTV again this year.

Through CFEC and its SGO China broadcast partner Beijing Socam Ltd, Mistika is now recognised as a vital system at numerous facilities all over China.
SGO’s Chinese Reseller will be showcasing at BIRTV 2013, its world-leading line of powerful 4K+ Mistika DI and Stereo 3D post production solutions at Booth 8B 09 at the CIEC based in North Eastern Beijing.
Visitors to the show will be able to see how Mistika’s creative power can be put to use at the centre of every phase of production.

The Chinese market has shown a great interest and acceptance of SGO’s dynamic Mistika innovative technology and solutions. SGO was delighted that its Mistika post production technology received the prestigious BIRTV 2012 AWARD for the most Outstanding Product. Some of the many Chinese companies now adopting Mistika include the Xuke 3D team, Guangxi TV, PPO Group,The China Academy of Broadcasting and Planning, Royia Media Group, JiangSu TV, Xian Changqing TV, Goldrose Media and many others.

SGO’s rapid development of Mistika, based on essential customer feedback, means there are many new features on show at BIRTV 2013. These include improved DCP creation tools including 60 fps HFR support, the addition of even more codecs that allow import-free and real time access to many camera and post production file formats including camera support for the Sony F65 and FS700. XML and AAF support have been improved to further assist integration with non-SGO products. Mistika users can now also create bespoke filters from any combination of effects and attach them to the monitor, editor or rendering outputs, for example to place LUTs, crops and watermarks onto the image without having those effects visible in the timeline. Other general upgrades include overall interface speed enhancements, Japanese/Chinese/Korean utf8 filename support, 16 channel per clip audio improvements and support for xml: xmeml, DCSubtitle and USFSubtitles subtitle formats.

SGO’s Mistika was also used for all the stereoscopic 3D post production work for China’s first 3D IMAX martial arts action film The Flying Swords of Dragon Gate. The film triumphed at the Asian Film Awards (AFA) by winning Best Visual Effects and was nominated for best film, director, actor, supporting actress and the best production designer. The film also received impressive accolades at the 31st Hong Kong Film Awards last year for best action choreography, art direction, editing, visual effects and sound effects categories for the 560 million Yuan gross blockbuster.
