1. Introduction to Mistika Workflows



As part of its Multidimensional Workflow Concept, SGO has started to slice features and toolsets of its globally-acclaimed Hero Suite Mistika Ultima to address specific industry needs and develop advanced workflow applications, with Mistika VR being the first one.

In addition Mistika Boutique was released in April 2019, being derived from the globally acclaimed hero-suite Mistika Ultima. Available as a single application that provides a completely scalable, truly interactive and totally resolution independent full-finishing software solution for Windows and macOS - exclusively available on a subscription basis through the online SGO Shop.

Over recent years, SGO has received many client requests which have been less related with Mistika functionalities itself, but much more associated with external workflow challenges, with the lack of automation being one of the main bottlenecks of many productions. This gave SGO the reason for designing an all new product to meet these demands but still built on the foundation of Mistika Technology. Mistika Workflows is an affordable software solution created to revolutionize the way content deployment and other media processing tasks are done by automating and facilitating many inefficient and tedious workflows.

As a difference to other products the Mistika technology is based on non locked workflows, where the application can be adapted to existing user workflows rather than forcing to do the opposite.

Mistika Workflows nodes can monitor "watch folders" for mass file import, manage metadata associated to media files, transcode image formats, apply advanced color space conversions, automate the application of Mistika effects, send emails, download and upload content to network servers and cloud services, and much more.

The interface layouts can be easily adapted for different user profiles collaborating in the same workflows. Each member of the staff will only see what he needs to see. Editors and artists will work in a typical node graph like they are used to do in other media applications, workflow supervisors can monitor all the active workflows in an advanced queue table with clear indications about the state of each workflow and its corresponding deliveries, instantly knowing where each one is stopped and why, and engineers will get access to a powerful Python integrated environment for fast developing of new functionality and workflow nodes.
