Films Posted in Mistika WIN Goya® Awards

The 30th Goya® Awards presented in Madrid this month, honoured Spain’s best films of 2015.

Mistika-related projects, post-produced by SGO customers El Colorado, Free Your Mind and Next Lab & New Media were deservedly acknowledged with four prestigious Goya® Awards. Fourteen nominations also went to Antaviana Films, El Colorado and Free Your Mind. SGO congratulates its customers for their outstanding use of Mistika and highly-respected accolades.

Capture the Flag (Atrapa la bandera) directed by Enrique Gato received the Goya® Award for Best Animation Film. Mistika was used for the colour grade, stereo 3D and finishing at Next Lab & New Media. Visit them here

Nothing in Return (A Cambio de nada) was graded on Mistika at El Colorado which took home two Goya® Awards and five nominations including Best Film. See Mistika at work at El Colorado here

A Perfect Day (Un día perfecto), post-produced entirely in Mistika at Free Your Mind, reaped a Goya® Award for Best Adapted Screenplay with seven nominations, including Best Film, Director, Cinematography (Alex Catalán), Editing and Production Supervision. The award-winning title was written and directed by Fernando León de Aranoa, and also screened in the Directors’ Fortnight section at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.

Conforming, colour grading , finishing and chroma-key compositing was achieved using Mistika at Antaviana Films in El Rey de la Habana. The film was also credited with three Goya® nominations which included Best Cinematography. More about Mistika at Antaviana Films can be found here
